3 tbs butter
3 tbs onions diced
1 1/2-cup rice
Salt and pepper to taste.
3 cups chicken broth
In a microwave safe dish, add the butter and microwave for 1 minute.
Add the onions and microwave for 2 minutes, then add the rice and cook for an additional two minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.
In a three cup measure add the chicken broth, cover twith plastic wrap and microwave until the broth comes to a simmer.
Add the broth to the rice; cover the dish and microwave for exactly 16 minutes.
Remove from the oven and fluff rice
