James Suckling 94 points - The 2007 Barolo is a fresh, floral offering with an attractive juiciness to the fruit. Though made predominantly from Serralunga fruit, there isn’t a ton of village character in the glass. This vinous, open Barolo is an excellent candidate for near-term drinking and I suspect it will find many admirers in restaurants, where its unfussy yet refined personality is ideally suited. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022.

2007 AZELIA BAROLO
"Perfumed and almost smoky with plum and berry undertones. Then turns to flowers. Full body, with rich and velvety tannins and a solid core of fruit. Dried strawberries and prunes. Rich and beautiful. Amazing quality for the blended Barolo from here. From vines of 70 percent Serralunga and 30 percent Castiglione Falleto." James Suckling 94 points
