James Suckling 92 points - The 2009 Barolo is laced with dried berry, cassis, anise seed, chopped mint and garden herb. Impressive aromatic intensity lifts straight from the glass, yet the mouthfeel is more muted. Dark concentration is backed by firm tannins and shallow, lean consistency. The finish is dry and almost dusty. That emptiness on the mid-palate is common in the 2009 vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2023.

"What a wonderful red with aromas of sliced tangerines and blueberries. Very perfumed nose. Full body, with silky tannins and a beautiful texture. Delicious finish. Bright acidity and freshness to the ripe fruits. Excellent for the vintage." James Suckling 92 points
