Superb fruit and spice aromas with an oaky note. Intense, full and yet delicate on the palate, the wine has a charming velvetiness. Very good ageing potential.
Burghound 93 points - A spice-infused red, with a cherry core. Dense and well-structured, picking up savory and mineral elements on the finish. The tight structure needs time to resolve. Best from 2016 through 2030.—B.S.

DOMAINE BOUCHARD PERE 2010 BOUCHARD PERE BEAUNE VIGNE DE L'ENFANT JESUS "Noticeable though not overt wood influence sets off a very ripe nose composed of liqueur of plum, cassis and wild raspberry aromas. There is excellent richness to the round and relatively powerful medium weight flavors blessed with an abundance of dry extract that buffers the otherwise very firm, long and serious finish. This is also notably austere and extremely compact at present and as such it seems reasonably clear that it will not be a good candidate for early drinking." Allen Meadows' Burghound.com 93 points
Food pairing
Game birds - Fattened chicken in cream sauce - Burgundian cheeses

Founded in 1731 in Beaune by Michel Bouchard, Bouchard Pere & Fils, is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, perpetuating tradition for over 280 years and 9 generations. In 1775, Joseph Bouchard acquired his first vineyards in Volnay in the famous “Les Caillerets” climat and started to develop the family’s vineyard holdings. During the French Revolution, property belonging to the clergy and nobility was confiscated and put up for sale. Joseph’s son, Antoine Philibert Joseph Bouchard, seized the opportunity to extend the family’s vineyard holdings in Beaune including the famous “Beaune Greves Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus.” This desire to build up an exceptional estate in Cote d’Or endured through the generations and acquisitions in the best Villages were added throughout the 19th century and again in the early 20th century.
