2011 DAMPT DANIEL CHABLIS COTE DE LECHET
"A very fresh, cool and attractively airy nose features acacia blossom, lemon rind, orange peel and tidal pool nuances. The rich, round and very generous flavors are quite plump but not heavy though at the same time there is not the same sense of verve and underlying tension that the best here display. I suspect that this will tighten up somewhat once it is bottled though not enough to prevent it from drinking well young." Allen Meadows' Burghound.com 89-91 points
DOMAINE DANIEL DAMPT
Vincent Dampt continues in 150 year tradition t of excellence that began over 150 years ago with his grandfather Jean Defaix, followed by his father Daniel Dampt. Vincent has changed little, sticking with the simple but effective recipe of growing top quality fruit and allowing the individual terroir of each appellation to shine through,. With the construction of the new winery, they now have the capacity to produce 12,000 cases annually, from 30 hectares of vineyards split evenly between Chablis, A.C. and five premier crus: Vaillons, Beauroy, Cotes de Lechet, Fourchaume and Les Lys. All the wines are aged in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling. .
