Wine Enthusiast 94 points - A big success in the vintage, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley (85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and a splash of Petit Verdot) is deep, rich and textured, with a voluptuous mid-palate and texture. Showing classic Cabernet black currant, lead pencil, wild herbs and hints of spice, this full-bodied, elegant 2011 has excellent concentration and solid underlying tannic grip. It’s approachable now but will have 10-15 years of ultimate longevity.
2011 ABEJA CABERNET SAUVIGNON COLUMBIA VALLEY
"Tasted pre-release, this is already extraordinary, especially for this challenging vintage. The fruit (from Heather Hill, Kiona and Sagemoor) is dense, dark and detailed—an immaculate and thrilling wine, loaded with cassis, smoke and chocolate. The concentration, balance and length put it among the best Washington Cabernets of the vintage." Wine Enthusiast 94 points
|Spanish for bee, our name is pronounced ’ah-BAY-ha” We chose this name for its simple beauty and its reminder if times past when farming implied a respect for the environment and a close connection to the earth. It is our belief that each day, we can make a difference in the quality of our care for the land, and no matter how small, any difference we make is worthwile. We create our wines and recieve our guests under the same philosophy.
