2010 JAVILLIER MEURSAULT TILLETS
"Bright straw-yellow. Tangy aromas of peach, orange blossom and vanilla. Fat, sweet and perfumed in the mouth, with chalky minerality giving the wine excellent lift. A very nicely balanced essence of Meursault with good youthful cut. Finishes fine-grained, scented and long, with lovely minerality. Terrific Tillets." Steve Tanzer 92 points Drink 2015-22
The wines of each vineyard and parcel of Domaine Patrick Javillier are vinified separately in order to preserve the intrinsic characteristics of each terroir.
The Tillets comes from six parcels of the same vineyard situated high on the mountain overlooking the village.
The age of the vines is from 30 to 70 years. After picking, a specific press regime is conceived for white wines. The must then undergoes oak barrel-fermentation, the amount of new oak barrels employed being determined according to the provenance of the grapes. After maturing 17 to 18 months, the wines are bottled with a minimum of fining and filtration.
