2011 PULENTA MALBEC LA FLOR "The 2011 La Flor Malbec is aged in Seguin Moreau, Taransaud and Demptos barriques for around six months. It sports a crisp blackberry leaf nose that unfurls nicely in the glass, augmented by bilberry and mineral scents while maintaining superb delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded, chewy tannins. It is a little disjointed at the moment and perhaps needs a little more bottle age to coalesce. Nevertheless, there is certainly good substance here, with juicy black cherries, dark plum and a touch of cassis lending volume towards the finish. Drink 2013-2017." Neal Martin 89 points
