In 1935, 22 year old Marcel Mugneret, Dominique's grandfather, purchased property in Vosne Romanee selling their wine to negociants. Dominique joined the domaine in 1982 after receiving his degree in Viticulture. The estate expanded to over eight hectare in 13 appellations and began to produce wine under their own label. The average age of the vines are 40 years, manually harvested. The Vosne-Romanee village's wines are aged in barrel for approximately 13 months, the 1st and Grand Crus for 15 to 17 months.
