Rich and intense aromas of lemon, lime leaf, citrusflowers, honey
and slightly nutty baked pie crust. The creamy texture is nicely complemented by expressions of white stone fruits (nectarines
and peaches) and Granny Smith green apple with hints of marzipan on the finish.
Wine Advocate 92 points - Montelena’s 2010 Chardonnay is gorgeous. Lemon and white flowers are some of the nuances that take shape in the glass. Even with the blocked malo and low amount of new oak, the 2010 has an attractive oiliness that adds body and depth but without excess weight. This is a lovely showing. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020. ”

2010 MONTELENA CHARDONNAY NAPA
"The 2010 Chardonnay is quite a bit fresher and more linear than the 2009, partly because of the length of the growing season, partly because it is a year younger. Slate, minerals, crushed rocks and grapefruit linger on the precise, crystalline finish. This is a very Chablis-like Napa Valley Chardonnay. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022."
