Coming from the winery?s vineyards planted in clay soils at an elevation of 1500 feet, this is another totally naked, virginal wine from Bodegas Nekeas that sees no oak whatsoever, as it is fermented and aged in stainless steel. Pure strawberry and black cherry notes with hints of licorice and tobacco leaf jump from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-tinged, medium-bodied wine. Essentially a Tempranillo fruit bomb, it is pure, delicious and an incredible value! Drink it over the next 1-2 years.

Producer
Bodegas Ochoa is family owned and operated, and all of their grapes are grown in their estate owned vineyards. All of their wines are produced organically; however, the bodega has not obtained organic certification. Javier Ochoa is the wine maker and oversees the entire operation in the vineyards and bodega. Javier has also served as general manager of EVENA, the local oenological institute, and continues to do a lot of research at EVENA. Javier is slowly turning over the winemaking and other responsibilities to Adriana, his daughter. Adriana has done extensive training in winemaking in Bordeaux and Australia and has been awarded ‘Best Young Female Winemaker in Spain’ by several Spanish and British wine magazines.
