$DOMAINE GRANGER PASCAL 2010 GRANGER PASCAL BEAUJOLAIS VILLAGES LE BOUTEAU
"Sourced from old vines in the climat of “Le Bouteau” and undergoing a slightly longer cuvaison than the regular Beaujolais Villages, the 2011 Beaujolais Villages Le Bouteau has a pleasant red currant and marmalade-scented bouquet that is playful and fresh. The palate is balanced with rounded, quite spicy red fruit with a gentle grip toward the finish. This is a decent Beaujolais Villages, though perhaps one seeks a little more “excitement.” Drink now." Neal Martin Wine Advocate 85 points (2011 vintage)
With its breadth of flavors (red fruits and wild berries) and wealth of backbone, this wine will provide positive surprises as it offers proof of the superior qualities of the best of this modest appellation.
