Wine maker notes

Aged for over 3 years in French oak barrels the wine shows a mix of classic Tawny and Ruby Port character. The vanilla, nutmeg spiced fruit on the nose accompanies the smooth and refined tannins and intense cherry and blueberry flavors in the mouth. By stopping the yeast fermentation at a desired level of sweetness, 7% residual sugar, the wine can be recommended with dark or semi-sweet chocolates.

Producer

The Langtry Estate is located in the picturesque Guenoc Valley of Lake County. With over 23,000 acres of land, Langtry’s vast property spans throughout Lake County and into the northern tip of Napa Valley. The winery itself was originally built in 1981 to resemble the old Langtry barn still standing across from the Gebhard Hunting Lodge two miles south of the winery.
