The beauty of working with Napa Valley-born grapes is that they consistently provide winemakers with a palette of lush fruit, regardless of variety. The wines we produce at BOYANCI take their lead from this quality and character that has made this region’s wines celebrated worldwide.
Our InSpire is Napa Valley Cabernet, balanced and refined. We always seek to start with ripe Napa Valley Cabernet with its trademark blackberry, cassis and blueberry character and deliver a wine that is dense, rich and structured on the palate. We select grapes from both hillside and valley floor vineyards with the desire to build a Cabernet with concentration and weight, yet without harsh tannins or heat. With the help of our immensely talented winemaker, Mia Klein, we seek to produce a wine of seamless concentration and complexity.
|VINEYARDS: Rather than limiting ourselves to a single vineyard, InSpire comes from our best vineyards located on both mountain and valley sites in Napa.
OAK: 50% new French oak barrels, 50% 1 year old French oak barrels. 17 months in barrel. bottled unfiltered and unfined
|“Buoyancy: (noun) 1. The upward force that keeps things afloat. 2. A homonym for “Boyanci”, the combining of Kevin Boyer’s and Tom Steffanci’s names that form the name of a Napa Valley wine they believe can serve to uplift lives, palates and spirits.
It was not a difficult task to choose the name for the wine we wanted to make. The idea of wine uplifting and keeping afloat good times, lives and spirits has always appealed to wine drinkers. The serendipity of our names combining to spell out this notion continues to put a smile on our faces.
Our goal is simple: produce pinnacle Napa Valley wine with the intent of satisfying our customers desire for the finest from this remarkable region, steer a portion of BOYANCI revenue toward a non-profit cause that uplifts lives and buoys the spirits of friends and family with the help of our best winemaking efforts.
