The focus of the Highflyer Wines is on small productions from vineyards in select locations throughout California. Craig Becker, General Manager and Director of Winemaking and Viticulture, is an accomplished pilot and has chosen vineyard spots from the air, not to mention a plane makes visiting these remote vineyards sometimes easier. He sources fruit from Santa Lucia Highlands, Santa Maria Valley, Santa Ynez Valley, Bennett Valley and Napa Valley. This allows Highflyer to produce wines from areas best suited to growing particular varieties. Only fruit from single vineyard family owned properties are used.
