Founded in 2000, Lucia Vineyards is a family owned and run winery producing Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Lucy Rose from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Gary Pisoni (viticulturalist), Jeff Pisoni (winemaker), Mark and Quinn Pisoni (managers) and Michael Zardo (assistant winemaker) make up the team. The vineyards of the Santa Lucia Highlands are planted along the foothills from 400-1,300 feet in elevation on well-drained, sandy soils. Gary, Mark and Jeff Pisoni recognize that all great wines start in the vineyard.

Producer

The Garys’ Vineyard is a joint venture between two native growers of the Santa Lucia Highlands. Gary Pisoni and Gary Franscioni planted this 50-acre vineyard to Pinot Noir and Syrah in 1997. Its location on a sloping hillside in the center of the 16-mile long appellation gives the vineyard a true representation of the Santa Lucia Highlands Lucia is one of several wineries that makes a Pinot Noir under the Garys' Vineyard designation.
