Wine Advocate 95 points - Even more impressive is the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, a richer, fuller wine with the same structural profile as the 2009, but with deeper, more concentrated black currant, licorice, incense and floral characteristics. Deep, pure, textured and multidimensional, this opaque purple-colored 2010 is sensational. Drink it over the next 20 years. Both wines are multi-AVAs from five vineyards spread across Napa Valley. (Oct 2013)
OTH 93 points - Saturated ruby to the rim. Very dark aromas and flavors of blackberry, violet, bitter chocolate and licorice pastille. Highly concentrated and extremely primary, with strong acidity framing the intense flavors. The huge tannins coat the front teeth but ultimately come off as sweeter than those of the 2009. Excellent potential here. (May15 2012)
Our Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from diverse, premium fruits thoughtfully cultivated by a variety of small vineyards spanning the Napa Valley. Low yields and great clonal pedigree, combined with meticulous farming within a variety of different appellations, are essential to producing our Cabernet Sauvignon. We believe itís this blend of intensely ripe fruit that results in our wineís unique character, complexity, depth and balance.
|At Buccella, weíre especially interested in origins. Our own story began over a beautiful bottle of 1990 Gaja. It was our first date. When we met, we were two individuals with distinct dreams, but we soon found our shared passion for wine would unite our paths to create Buccella.
We savor wine for its ability to bring people together, initiate new relationships, and celebrate lifeís most momentous occasions. A well-crafted wine not only creates memories, it nourishes the true enjoyment of life. For these reasons, we have pursued our shared dream of making the best wine we can.
