Wine & Spirits 95 points - Jean-Pierre Confuron makes this wine from a 9.4-acre parcel at the middle of the slope north of town, where the 35-year-old vines delivered a wine with the power and grace of a grand cru in 2010. Multidimensional in its sweet fruit, stately and restrained in its savory complexity, this is luscious, delicious and completely dry.
Wine Spectator 89 points - The spicy cherry and currant fruit lead in this red, with a firm backbone of tannins and acidity driving the finish. Long, featuring sweet fruit to match the grip. Best from 2016 through 2028. 750 cases made.-BS

A Chanson ”monopole” in the very heart of the first Growths vineyards of Beaune. The vineyards covering 3.80 ha is located on a mid slope. The ”Clos des Feves” was already known in the 14th century under the latin word ”Fae”
|The Chanson estate produces over a quarter of its own fruit requirements. The other grapes are sourced from growers selected according to their commitment to quality in alignment with Chanson’s quality Charter.
Individual plot selection produces fruit which also remains separate through the fermentation and ageing processes. The soil is ploughed to encourage the vines to extend their roots more deeply and therefore better express the typicity of the Terroir. All the grapes are hand-picked at optimum maturity.
