Wine Spectator 93 points - Rather lush for the vintage, with a creamy feel to the fresh butter, white peach, yellow apple and Cavaillon melon notes. An echo of quinine lends lovely contrast to the finish. Roussanne and Grenache Blanc. Drink now through 2015. 15 cases imported. –JM

Tardieu-Laurent has earned a reputation as one of the finest negociants in France’s Rhone Valley. Natives of Provence, Michel Tardieu and his family are intimately familiar with the great terroirs of the Rhone and its finest vignerons. Their production is limited as selection and hand-crafting of wines at this level can only be accomplished on a small scale. Anyone interested in exploring the splendors of the Rhone Valley would be fortunate to do it with the wines of Tardieu-Laurent. They have been consistently praised by connoisseurs and critics alike.
|Tardieu-Laurent is one of the most highly acclaimed negociants in the Rhone. Its success began with a serendipitous meeting between Michel Tardieu and Dominique Laurent. The two formed a friendship in the early 1990s, which led to the formation of Tardieu-Laurent Vallee du Rhone Maison de Negoce. Beginning with the first vintage in 1994, the wines of Tardieu-Laurent have won the praise of collectors and critics alike. Today, while the two men continue to share an extraordinary friendship, Tardieu-Laurent is solely under Michel’s guidance and care. Located in Lourmarin, in the heart of the Luberon, Tardieu-Laurent crafts approximately 17 wines each year, two-thirds of which are produced in southern Rhone. The remaining wines are produced in northern Rhone.
