A dense, extracted wine of considerable body and powerful tannic structure, this wine shows layers of ripe black cherry and blackberry fruit offset by notes of minerals, clove and toasty oak.
Wine Spectator 89 points - Offers generous flavors of cherry and strawberry, showing moderate richness and herb and sandalwood accents. This is firm, with dusty tannins and a slightly chewy finish. Best from 2016 through 2024. 32 cases imported.-BS

Vinous 94 points - The 2011 Echezeaux is striking. Totally alive and expressive, the 2011 opens with crushed flowers and sweet red berries, but it is the wine’s energy that takes over on the mid-palate and finish. The flavors are vibrant in a pulsating Burgundy with a very bright future. Bright floral and saline notes punctuate the invigorating finish.
