Aged for 12 months in French oak puncheons, the wine offers bright notes of crunchy, sweet fruit. Balanced acidity and velvety tannins come together on the elegant finish.
As owner and winemaker at Clos del Portal, Alfredo Arribas is dedicated to producing wines of typicity and terroir. With his Trossos project, he takes it to another level by producing single-vineyard, hand-crafted wines from old vines planted in the Monsant region of Spain. With each bottling, Alfredo seeks to highlight the three distinct soil types of the region: sand, calcareous or red clay. Each parcel is vinified separately and the aging regiment is customized based on terroir and varietal. The fruit is harvested-hand and the wines are aged in French oak barrels.
