oldest of the region of Bordeaux. Purchased in 1937,
Cheval Noir is the first estate of the Mahler-Besse family
whose domains, among the most beautiful of the
Bordeaux region, currently span Haut-Medoc, SaintÉmilion
and Saint-Estephe appellations.
The top vintage, Chateau Cheval Noir Cuvee Le Fer,
entirely turned to excellence, is shown as the symbol of
such philosophy. Settled on the St-Émilion plateau, the
6-hectare estate opened in 2008 a wine house combining

Made with passion and following high standards, the
wines of Cheval Noir provide all the amateurs the
association of pleasure, charm and elegance.
