Color: Intense red with purple highlights.
Aroma: Complex and expressive, subtly mixed with aromas of violets and cherries, in balance with the dark chocolate notes and toasted flavor from its oak aging.
Palate: Elegant and balanced. Warm, Sweet and smooth impact with marked tannins. Mouth-filling. His weight on the palate translates cherry notes into jam and sweet tobacco. Fresh acidity which complements the heat of the alcohol strength, proving endless pleasant sensations and honest aromas in the palate. Lenghty finish.
Wine Advocate 88 points - The 2010 Gran Reserva sees 24 months in French oak and offers a fairly generic Argentinean Cabernet nose with overt vanilla-infused scents. The palate is ripe, sweet and powerful although I prefer the elegance and the freshness displayed by the more personable Cabernet 2011. The finish is a little clipped but at least it is fresh and packed full of fruit. Drink now-2015. (Oct 2012)
