To the eye, the color is straw yellow with green reflections.
the nose, the Condrieu "La Galopine" exhales the perfumes of incomparable power and complexity: violet, apricot, peach, honey, dried fruit.
In the mouth it seduces by aromatic exuberance, its smoothness, its rich flavors and massive, and its ultimate exotic fruit.
Wine Advocate 91 points - Slightly more mineral-laced, with a straight, clean profile, the 2011 Condrieu Galopine has similar citrus rind, mint, flower oil and pear notes, as well as hints of apricot, to go with a pure, medium-bodied profile on the palate. Spending 12 months all in neutral oak, it’s a clean, classy Condrieu to drink over the coming 4-5 years or so. (Dec 2013)
