Deep burgundy in color with vibrant violet hues. Onthe nose, it is packed with black fruit, such as ripe cherries and plums. Subtle violet flower notes with hints of raisins follow backed by a smoky character. It is fresh, juicy, and concentrated with sweet tannins and a very pleasant acidity; a mouthfilling, velvety texture rounds out the palate. The finish is long with hints of chocolate and a trace of cedar.
Wine Advocate 91 points - The 2010 Kinien Malbec from Vista Flores in the Uco Valley is dark cherry-colored, with a reticent, backward nose of blackberries and damsons intermixed with aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, pepper and cloves. The medium to full-bodied palate displays an array of flavors of ripe fruits and flowers with a dry finish. Give it a little more time and it should come into better balance in bottle Drink 2015-2020. (Apr 2014)
