Color - Beautiful golden color Bouquet - An intense floral and fruity nose with notes of iris, candied fruit and fresh hazelnuts Taste - Full-bodied with rich, concentrated flavors of quince, vanilla and a slight lemon zest. Well-balanced with a lingering finish.
Wine Spectator 91 points - Mirabelle plum, pear and mango notes are mixed here, with ginger and verbena accents lining the lightly toasted, brioche-framed finish. Flattering, but has good freshness. Roussanne and Marsanne. Drink now through 2015. 500 cases made.-JM  (Nov 15 2014)

Vinous 90 points - (70% roussanne and 30% marsanne): Vivid yellow. Ripe peach and pear skin on the nose, with complicating notes of honey, dusty minerals and white flowers. Supple, fleshy and expansive, offering juicy orchard fruit flavors and a bitter touch of citrus zest. Nicely combines richness and energy and closes with very good clarity and mineral-driven persistence. There’s something Loire-like going on here.  (Mar 2014)

Through his intense dedication, Colombo has brought the wines of Cornas into the international limelight.
Wine maker notes
Grapes are harvested manually at perfect maturity. The wine is fermented and matured 50% in new oak and 50% in 1-year-old barrels with malolactic fermentation in the barrels. The wine is left on the lees with a weekly stirring to extract maximum aroma for 6 months. Total time spent in barrel is 14 months.

Technical notes
80% Roussanne, 20% Marsanne

Food pairing
Excellent with seafood, poultry, fresh salads, grilled vegetables and a variety of appetizers.
