Usually my favorite among the single-vineyard bottlings, the 2015 Malbec Temis comes from vines in the cool El Cepillo in Valle de Uco, which is going to get its own appellation of origin, called IG in Argentina. The wine fermented after a double sorting of the grapes in concrete vats, and it matured in French oak barrels (two-thirds new) for two months. This is clearly above the rest of single-vineyard bottlings I tasted next to it, a powerful Malbec from a cooler vintage and a cooler part of Mendoza. It has concentration and clout but also harmony and elegance, a rare combination that means balance in a naturally concentrated zone. 6,933 bottles were filled in March 2018. There won't be a 2016 vintage of this wine.
