"A ripe, juicy red with blackberry, mushroom, old-bark and tobacco character. Woody and tarry. Some moss, too. Full-bodied with round tannins and a flavorful finish. Mostly zinfandel. Real red. Drink now." James Suckling 92 points Drink 2022-28

This smooth, jammy-tasting wine offers ample blackberry, black-plum and vanilla flavors while light tannins keep the texture soft. It shows good concentration and ripeness without overdoing the oak.

Marietta's Red Old Vine Lot 72 is a delicious, Zinfandel-based blend to drink now and over the next handful of years, while the red Zinfandel fruit remains vibrant. Once again, the Old Vine Red delivers insane quality for the money.

The NV OVR Old Vine Red Lot 72, a multi-vintage and multi-vineyard blend of mostly Zinfandel, is better balanced and charming, with lots of ripe red and black fruits, spice, brambly herbs, and candied orange-like aromas and flavors. It's balanced, has light tannins and wonderful fruit, and is just a charming, delicious style ideal for enjoying over the coming 3-4 years.
