The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Fontenys ler Cru is very elegant on the nose with vivacious redcurrant and cranberry scents, wilted rose petal and light touches of crushed stone. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, strict and focused, quite mineral driven with a touch of black pepper on the finish that fans out nicely. Excellent.
