"Blackberries, blackcurrants, black olives, tea leaves, bark and dried earth on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with firm, tight-grained tannins. A little austere and tight for now. Cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Better after 2024." James Suckling 91 points Drink 2023-33

This savory wine with structure and ripe tannins is led by juicy Merlot. Cabernet Sauvignon provides the black-currant fruits and firm texture. This is a well-constructed wine, with a dark, solid aftertaste. Drink from 2025

The 2019 de Cruzeau is impeccable and absolutely delicious. Silky contours and pretty floral accents give this mid-weight Pessac- Léognan its charming, gracious personality. Crushed flowers, red berry fruit, orange peel, dried herbs and gravel lead into the delineated finish. The 2019 has developed into a very pretty, understated wine.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Cruzeau opens with notes of crushed black and red currants, warm black plums and chargrill plus touches of bouquet garni, tilled soil and tapenade. Medium-bodied, the palate has appealing harmony, featuring straightforward, crunchy black fruits and a sturdy frame of chewy tannins, finishing refreshing.
