The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux Saint-Jacques ler Cru includes one-third whole bunches and one-third new oak. Again, this is elegant and pure on the nose, beautifully defined with a Rousseau-like personality. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very expressive yet understated. This doesn't need to boast. It has an effortless quality, fanning out wonderfully towards the finish. An outstanding Lavaux Saint-Jacques.

The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques exhibits notes of cherries, strawberry conserve, rose petals and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and succulent palate that's sweet and demonstrative, with what would appear to be a rather ripe, forward style this year.
