"The 2022 Fixin Vieilles Vignes is unusually supple and charming, delivering aromas of red berries, peonies, orange zest and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate. The 2022 Fixin Vieilles Vignes comes from two lieux-dits from 60- to 70- yea r-old vines that naturally produce small berries, including around 60% whole bunches this year. With fine intensity on the nose, it offers marine-influenced, oyster shell-tinged black fruit with dried roses and a touch of loam. The palate is medium-bodied with a structured opening, firm grip, and hints of tobacco and dried leaves. Perhaps the stems come across a little too pronounced on the finish? Give this some time in bottle to fully integrate.
