"Quite light in the glass, this is a lovely style of lighter Pinot Noir, starting with aromas of light red fruit, peppered meats and sandalwood. There's a tight tension to the sip, where dried cranberry, orange peel, salumi and peppercorn flavors align into an umami bomb." Wine Enthusiast 96 points Drink 2025-29

The 2019 Pinot Noir Old Corral is a gorgeous, distinctive wine. Now with some time in bottle, the 2019 offers lovely complexity and tons of nuance. Succulent red/purplish fruit, blood orange, star anise, spice, mint and sweet pipe tobacco all grace this mid-weight, curvy Pinot. The mix of Swan and Mount Eden clones work so well. This is all charm.

From a site in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the 2019 Pinot Noir Old Corral has a gorgeous nose of ripe strawberry and raspberry fruit that gives way to more underbrush, white flowers, and obvious minerality. It's not the biggest or richest wine out there, but it has beautiful balance, medium body, nicely integrated tannins, and a great finish.
