"The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny "Cuvée Jules" 1er Cru comprises just two barrels this year, the fruit from the lieux-dits of Les Chabiot, Sentier and Chatelot. This is quite closed on the nose initially, prized open with aeration to reveal blackberry, raspberry, black pepper (from the 100% whole bunch) and allspice. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins on the entry. This is silky smooth, fresh and vibrant with a clean and precise finish. Very long and sustained, this should age with style."
