You can recognize the 2015 Barbaresco Tradizione by its old fashion-looking label and the producer name that is recorded here as Antiche Cantine dei Marchesi di Barolo. This vintage offers extra layers of plumpness and sweetness that you can taste in the ripe fruit that is so generously put on display. The fruit is dark and succulent with black cherry and wild blackberry on the front line. Background tones include tar, smoke and spice. This wine only ages in botte grande. Some 80,000 bottles were made.

Chopped mint, rose and eucalyptus aromas shape the nose along with a whiff of white pepper. Linear and tightly knit, the taut palate offers dried cherry, orange zest and licorice before a slightly smoky finish. Drink 2021-2027.
