"The 2019 Chablis Beauroy 1er Cru is more defined and focused than the 2018, light pressed yellow flower scents intermingling with earthy notes, and touches of lime developing with aeration. The palate is well balanced, with crisp acidity, and quite spicy; a tang of ginger emerges toward the finish. The 2018 Chablis Beauroy 1er Cru comes from 0.4ha of 30-year-old vines and sees 12 months in stainless steel. This is one cuvée that feels a little overripe on the nose and lacks the definition of other Premier Crus. The palate is more balanced than expected, although I find it is missing definition and mineralité on the finish. Drink over the next 4-5 years.
