2019 L'ECOLE #41 CABERNET SAUVIGNON COLUMBIA VALLEY
"Dried flowers combine with black cherries, sawdust and cocoa as the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon slowly unfolds in the glass. This washes across the palate with ease, displaying a balanced mix of red and black wild berries, giving way to dark inner florals toward the close. A web of fine tannins is left to linger as the 2019 finishes perfumed and classically dry. There is such a pretty balance here." Eric Guido Vinous Media 92 points Drink 2023-30

A handsome red, multilayered and expressive, showing lively blackberry, tobacco and crushed stone accents that finish with well-framed tannins. Drink now through 2030. 6,890 cases made.

The aromas bring notes of dark chocolate, plum, herb and cherry, along with a sprinkling of spices. The palate shows polish and intensity. There's structural heft behind it all, both acid and tannin. Decant if drinking in the near term.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley is slightly more focused and elegant compared to the Walla Walla release, but both are beautiful wines. Cassis, black raspberries, spice box, and dried herbs all define the nose, and is has ripe tannins and a balanced, elegance profile that will keep for a decade.
